At School of Rock in your area, the nation's premier music school, we teach music to students ages 7-18 in a revolutionary way. Our approach combines the personal attention of individual lessons with the motivation provided by rehearsing and playing live with peers. This year our students will play more than 500 concerts nationwide in front of more than a half million people.

At the School of Rock, we help each student realize their potential through music, on stage and in life. It is our goal to help foster a new generation of incredible musicians by teaching each student in a way that is interactive and highly motivating. It just so happens that along the way, our students develop lasting friendships and build confidence, making us even more proud.

Long Live Rock!

As soon as a student joins one of our schools, they start playing ROCK music, just like a real rock star — on professional equipment — with other musicians. The unique School of Rock program provides students both individual time with an instructor and structured group rehearsals. Every piece of music a student learns at the School of Rock is picked for educational merit and content, but it's also contemporary which makes it fun to play and keeps it interesting. Therefore, our students practice more on their own, and their parents spend less time nagging them about practicing their scales!

Before long, our students are playing live rock concerts — not your typical (tear your hair out) boring recitals, but real rock concerts at real rock venues in front of paying audiences. These experiences allow our kids to excel quickly. Continuous and early improvement are both important drivers that keep kids motivated and propel them to stick with their music instruction.

For students who have never played an instrument, we offer School of Rock 101. This unique program provides both the individual lessons and group rehearsal aspects of our performance-based program, all tailored to beginner musicians. In our highly interactive School of Rock 101 program, students gain the necessary musical building blocks to prepare them to play in our performance program.

A Music School That's a Club for Kids

Most kids feel that going to music school is about as much fun as eating spinach. But the School of Rock is the complete opposite. We've set up our schools to be fun places where students want to hang out, be creative and make lifelong friends.

Not only that, it helps that we have some of the coolest teachers! All of our instructors are real performing musicians who play to live and live to play. They often become highly inspirational role models and make a great difference in our students' lives.
