Frequently Asked Questions

How does the program work?

Students receive 45 minutes of private lessons on the instrument of their choice each week. In addition, once cast into a show, students participate in a three hour supervised weekly rehearsal to prepare them for the main event — our seasonal rock concert!

We find that the best way to motivate students to practice hard, overcome stage fright, and become amazing musicians is to combine private music lessons and group band practice with their peers.

Is it too late to join for this season's shows?

We operate with an open, rolling admissions process throughout the year.

My son/daughter has never played an instrument before. Can they still join?

If your child is a beginner, the School of Rock101 program may be just what they're looking for. We believe we're the best in the world at training both beginners and advanced students, and we accept students at all experience levels.

My son/daughter really wants to sing in addition to learning an instrument — do you have voice teachers?

All of our branches have experienced professional musicians that teach rock instruments including guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, as well as vocals.

Do you have a summer camp?

In addition to our core program that runs year-round, all branches offer intensive summer day camps. Fill out the form to the right, or call us at 888-715-6420 to find out more about School of Rock's summer programs in your area.
