Except where prohibited or restricted by law, this Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of California, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington only. Void where prohibited. Employees, contractors, directors, and officers of any School of Rock affiliate or School of Rock LLC, and each of their respective employees, shareholders, officers, directors, members, agents and assigns, and their immediate family members and those living in their same households are not eligible.
School of Rock, LLC - Frank W. Burr Blvd., Suite 9, Teaneck, New Jersey 07666 - is the Sponsor of this Sweepstakes.
The sweepstakes shall be open from January 18, 2010 to March 13, 2010 and all entries must be received by March 13, 2010 (the "Promotion Period").
To be eligible, during the Promotion Period, you must (a) attend a School of Rock show; (b) attend a School of Rock open house event; or (c) attend a free School of Rock music lesson ("Promotional Event(s)"). Promotional Events must be provided by a participating School of Rock music school. You must also submit an entry form that includes your first and last name, complete mailing address, phone number, e-mail address, date of birth. Any incomplete, late or illegible entry will automatically be disqualified from the Sweepstakes. The entry form may be obtained at any Promotional Event and must be submitted to a School of Rock representative at the applicable Promotional Event. Written parental consent is required if entrant is under the age of eighteen (18) years old (a "minor"). Entries by minors that do not contain written parental consent shall be considered void. Parental attendance is required at all open house events and lessons for minors. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. MULTIPLE ENTRIES AND MECHANICALLY REPRODUCED COPIES OF THE ENTRY FORM WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. ALL ENTRIES BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE SPONSOR AND WILL NOT BE RETURNED. IN THE EVENT OF NONCOMPLIANCE WITH ANY OF THE REQUIREMENTS IN THESE OFFICIAL RULES, SPONSOR MAY VOID THE ENTRY. See Rule 13 below for the alternate means of entry.
Entry forms will be collected by each Participating School for an Initial Drawing for the chance to win a free month of music lessons at the Participating School ("First Prize"). 1 First Prize winner will be selected from each Participating School. The approximate retail value of the First Prize is $275.
All First Prize winners will then be submitted to the School of Rock, LLC headquarters for a Grand Prize Drawing for the chance to win either (1) a free guitar set with an approximate retail value of $1000 or (2) a free drum set with an approximate retail value of $1000 (the "Grand Prize"). 5 Grand Prize winners will be selected from the entries received. To claim their prize, Grand Prize winners must notify the Sponsor as to his/her election of the guitar set or drum set.
Odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
No substitution or cash equivalent allowed for any First Prize or Grand Prize, except at the election of the Sponsor. Limit of one (1) First Prize per person, e-mail address and/or household. Taxes and expenses, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Sponsor will issue a 1099 tax form to Grand Prize winners, for the approximate retail value of the prize.
On or about March 19, 2010 one (1) First Prize winner from each Participating School will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received at the Participating School (the "Initial Drawing"). The First Prize winner will be notified by the Participating School within five business days (excluding weekends) of being selected and will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility/liability and publicity release which must be received by the Participating School within fourteen (14) days of the date on the notification, or the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected by a random drawing of the remaining eligible entries. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. If for any reason the First Prize winner declines the prize, the Participating School may elect to select an alternate winner by a random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.
At the conclusion of the Initial Drawing all First Prize winners will be entered into a random drawing for the Grand Prize (the "Grand Prize Drawing"). On or about March 31, 2010, five (5) Grand Prize winner will be selected The Grand Prize winner will be notified by the Sponsor within five business days (excluding weekends) of being selected and will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility/liability and publicity release which must be received by the Sponsor within fourteen (14) days of the date on the notification, or the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected by a random drawing of the remaining eligible entries. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. If for any reason the Grand Prize winner declines the prize, Sponsor may elect to select an alternate winner by a random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.
Except where legally prohibited, by accepting a prize, winners consent to the use of their name, voice, photograph image, likeness, biographical data and any information contained in their submission in advertising, promotion and marketing materials throughout the world in any media, whether now or in the future, including on the Internet and/or on any School of Rock Web Site, by the Sponsor, its affiliates, or any Participating School, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. The Official Rules will be posted at the Sweepstakes site throughout the Sweepstakes. Entrants further agree to be bound by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules. Decisions by Sponsors on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes are final.
By receipt of any prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless School of Rock LLC, and its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and its officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes, receipt or use or misuse of any prize or use or publication by Sponsor of any written materials, photographs or video provided to Sponsor by winner relating to the Sweepstakes or prize.
NEITHER THE SPONSOR NOR ANY OTHER RELEASED PARTY SHALL HAVE ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY DIRECT, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS SWEEPSTAKES, ANY ENTRY OR USE OF THE ENTRY, OR ANY CONTENT THEREIN, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY LIABILITY, LOSS, INJURY, OR DAMAGE TO ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH, OR DAMAGE TO PERSONAL OR REAL PROPERTY, DUE IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, BY REASON OF ENTRANTS PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES. NEITHER THE SPONSOR, NOR ANY OTHER RELEASED PARTY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INCORRECT OR INACCURATE INFORMATION, WHETHER CAUSED BY ANY TECHNICAL OR HUMAN ERROR WHICH MAY OCCUR IN THE PROCESSING OF SUBMISSIONS IN THE SWEEPSTAKES.
This Sweepstakes is governed by the law of the state of New Jersey and proper forum for any dispute shall be in the state of New Jersey.

No purchase is necessary to enter. You may also enter the Sweepstakes by personally submitting your handwritten name, address, phone number, e-mail address (if applicable), the statement, "I WANT TO WIN A FREE MONTH OF LESSONS on a 3" x 5" card to your local Participating School during normal business hours during the Promotional Period, or by mailing the 3" x 5" card in an envelope with proper postage affixed thereto to your local Participating School. If you are under the age of eighteen (18) years old, you must also include a statement by your parent or legal guardian indicating their consent to your participation in the Sweepstakes. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by March 6, 2010 and received by March 13, 2010.
